BECU is a community-chartered credit union that you are eligible to join if you live or work in one of the following Wisconsin counties:
In addition, you can join if you live outside of the area and have an immediate family member who is already a member or is eligible for membership. Members of the immediate family include, but not limited to:
* Spouse, parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, grandparents, and grandchildren, or
* Any other relative eligible to be a member of the credit union if the relative resides in the same household.
How to Join and become a Member?
It’s easy to join the credit union. All you need to do is complete a Membership Application and submit copies of required identification (as defined by the USA Patriot Act), and deposit a minimum of $5.00¹ into a membership savings account. Once you are a member, you will have the opportunity to use or apply for additional BECU services.
¹ The $5.00 is defined as the par value of a member share according to BECU bylaws.
